♥ mini heartshaped cutlets

I was in the mood for some deepfried stuff so i decided to make some cute mini-sized heartshaped sausage cutlets for lunch! Click here to be redirected to detailed recipe which i referenced on Create Eat Happy :)! Honestly, i think they look too cute to be eaten... keke~

The original recipe used thin slices of pork to wrap the mini cocktail sausages. I omitted the pork slices because i didnt have any stored away in the refrigerator at that particular time. I was lazy to make a trip to the supermarket because i needed instant gratification! ^_^ So i made do with just the cocktail sausages.

Slice the cocktail sausages diagonally, connect the cut edges so that it is shaped like a heart, and then use a toothpick to pierce through the centers of the sausages to secure the shape.

Roll each heart in flour, then in egg mixture, and then coat with japanese breadcrumbs (i.e. panko). Deepfry the hearts until golden brown!

Decorate the mini cutlets on a serving platter and then serve with japanese sweet-sour fruit & vege sauce!

Wow! Good job, mica!!!

I wonder how you coated panko directly on the sausage! I used pork to cover it thoroughly because sausage has too smooth surface ;p

You are really good at cooking! I never could cook this well when I was at your age. oops...

Hi Ochi:) thanks alot for the compliment! i've lots to learn still... I washed the sausages with cold water, then coated them with plain flour 1st. Next i dipped them into egg, then coated them with the panko! haha, longer process, took me quite awhile, n i had lotsa flour stuck on my fingertips ^_^
